I had a total knee replacement performed by Mr. Cox, and I have nothing but praise for the care I received. I was recovered enough to resume swimming and driving in four and a half weeks and able to be discharged at ten weeks. I now have back the life I had about ten years ago, walking, swimming and dancing. My favourite part of my recovery is to hear myself run down the stairs.

I had both hips replaced by Mr Cox during 2019 at New Hall Hospital. Both have been a success. Mr Cox listened to me, answered all my questions and kept me fully informed throughout both procedures. Waiting times at follow up checks were minimal. I found Mr Cox completely approachable and friendly which helped put me at ease.

Had hip operation in December 2018. First three weeks made reasonable profess then started having pain in my groin and my leg felt shorter When I complained at my post op consultation was not really listened to. Eventually my case was taken over by another surgeon and I had a hip revision in May 2019. Should have been sent immediately for an X-ray.

Shoulder resurfacing January 2019. Although you may have to Google a few medical terms after appointments, David Cox is a very approachable guy and always seemed to have time to answer any questions. The operation was undertaken at New Hall, Salisbury which I was also impressed with, especially the polite and respectful staff. Back to work (only to answer the phone) in 7 days, in a sling for 4 weeks, driving again (auto) in 6 weeks. With the help of New Hall physio departement my range of movement came back to over 90% really quickly. It isn’t quite there to match the other side even now, but is so close as to make no difference. The shoulder is now pain free, being given an easy life and any heavy lifting somebody else can do. Nine months on now apart from the 4 “ scar, I don’t know I’ve had an operation. From my experience David Cox and the team at New Hall did an amazing job on me.
